Raising funds for the Light Dragoons Charitable Trust
To commemorate the 80th anniversaries of VE day and D-Day and honour the fallen of our regiment I will, in 2025, conduct a unique and ambitious battlefield tour with a troop of WW2 jeeps, following the route taken by the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (QMO) across northwest Europe from Sword Beach on D-Day through France, Belgium, The Netherlands and finally into northern Germany and VE Day in Bremen. A journey of 1600miles in 80-year-old vehicles executed over two phases. We will be Following in the tank tracks of heroes.
Along the way we will visit all the cemeteries where the dead of both 13th/18th Royal Hussars (QMO) and 15th/19th Kings Royal Hussars are laid to rest and conduct acts of remembrance (some 40 cemeteries and over 200 graves).
