Regimental Association

The Light Dragoons Regimental Association is for all members of the regimental family.  It serves the needs of all serving and former soldiers and officers of the Light Dragoons, and its antecedents, the 13th/18th Royal Hussars and the 15th/19th The King’s Royal Hussars.

The aim of the Association is to foster esprit de corps, maintain friendships and links among all ranks through social gatherings, and enable welfare and benevolent support for members of the regimental family who may be in need.  Assistance is not contingent on being a member of the Association.

The Regimental Association is administered from Home Headquarters in Newcastle, with support provided by Association Branches in Newcastle, Barnsley, London and East Anglia.

Membership of the Regimental Association is open to all currently serving in the Light Dragoons or who have served in the Light Dragoons, the 13th/18th Royal Hussars and the 15th/19th The King’s Royal Hussars.  It is also open to all those who served with attached arms with any of these regiments.

Through the Light Dragoons Charitable Trust, the Association provides direct support to the serving regiment.
